Both sides of this linen bowl are made with the Marimekko “Tunturipollo” pattern in shades of yellow and gray. The abstract design in the bowl center was done by Betty Amador with paint sticks and her hand-cut stencils.
This shark fabric was hard to resist. It was fun to combine sharks with a perplexed, pink-ribboned little girl from the Alexander Henry “Ghastlies” series. I call the bowl “Mary Jane in Peril”.
Kaffe Fassett blues and greens combined with a brilliant orange fish print makes for an interesting combination of hot and cool colors with lots of swirling movement.
These free-flowing stripes look like Magic Marker with their overlapping lines.
